Coping with problems

Looking after yourself is very important. Looking after your feelings is important too! There are lots of things to think about. When we talk about emotional health we mean how we think about things, how we feel and behave.

Nobody can be happy all the time, think happy thoughts or behave sensibly all the time. Sometimes we feel sad, angry or confused about things, and this is alright. Because these are your feelings, and you can’t help how you feel. But how we deal with them is something else. If you are happy deep down, you can deal with times when you feel sad, angry or confused about something.

Looking after your feelings and your mind is like looking after a part of your body. If you hurt you leg, you can do something about it, you can do something about your feelings and your mind too.
