Getting fit and living a healthy life can protect you against lots of diseases and problems now and in the future

The HEA (Health Education Authority) says exercise helps stop problems with your heart, muscles, bones, blood, bladder and bowels and it helps you feel happy and good about yourself.

Some cultures are more at risk from different illnesses – check out the Muslim health network link and our section on Health Action Plans for details. But keeping fit is very important no matter what your ethnicity and culture and a healthy body is a happy one!
