Many Aids and Adaptations are very expensive but you will find if you are ‘assessed’ as needing them you can get lots of help
Disabled Facilities Grants are available up to £25,000 in England or Scotland (Standard Amenities or Disabled Grant). In Wales the maximum grant available is higher at up to £30,000.
However you may have to pay some of the costs, depending on your income.

The Social Fund – you or your parent or carer can apply by contacting your local Benefits Agency. If you need some more help to fill in the form you can ask for someone from the Benefits Agency to come and help you.
A charity or disability organisation – can be applied for through a social worker or health worker
The Family Fund – If you are under 16 your parent or carer can apply for you.
