Recipe for Plantain Crisps

A quick snack

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe plantains

  • Flour and cinnamon for dusting

  • 50g (2oz) butter or margarine

How to make them

  1. Slice the plantains into small sized rounds or strips.

  2. Dust with the flour and cinnamon.

  3. Heat the butter and fry the plantains quickly until golden.

  4. Drain on kitchen paper.

  5. Serve hot or cold with drinks

Plantains can also be used as a vegetable by simply peeling and cutting into halves, then into quarters and frying in deep oil for 4-5 minutes.
