Vaisakhi / Baisakhi - Sikh New Year

Vaisakhi is the celebration that remembers when the Sikh Nation – the Khalsa – was created more than 300 years ago.

It is on 14 April in England. For Sikhs it is a time of rebirth, renewal, equality and strength.

Some Sikhs choose to get baptised – Amrit Sanskarat – on this day!
