This comes in two ‘components’ – one for Care and one for Mobility
You can qualify for one or the other or both. It is paid every month and does not change if you have a job, or are at college or because of how much your family earns.
Your parents may be receiving DLA already on your behalf, but when you are 16 you can ask the Benefits Agency to pay it directly to you.
