Job Introduction Scheme

If you are not sure about the kind of job that is right for you and if you can do it due to your disability, then the Job Introduction Scheme could be for you. They pay your workplace some money to train you and give you support. You can get it for any permanent job, which is more than six months.

Permitted work and supported permitted work

If you get Incapacity Benefit or Severe Disablement Allowance, this could be for you. You can still keep your benefits if you work for 16 hours or less a week and you get less than £69 a week.

If after a year, you still need help then you may get support may be for longer, as long as help is in the workplace from an outside agency such as Mencap.
