You have a RIGHT to receive free education up to the age of 19
Your school may have a sixth form or extended education department. If not check with your council (LEA department – the link is below) for schools in your area that do. Check out the courses on offer and think about your transition plan to see what is best for you.
Although you are still in a school building you are treated more like an adult (at last!) and you don’t have to wear a uniform anymore! You have more choice about what you do and often there are more lessons which happen out in the community not in the classroom.
