Who is involved in Homeshare?

One of the two people owns a home that they would like to share with another person who can give them some support and help. This person is called the Householder. A lot of the time the Householder is an older person who has a disability.

The second person is someone who needs home to live in and is happy to give some help to the Householder in return for somewhere to stay. This person is called the Homesharer. A lot of the time the Homesharer is a younger person, or a keyworker.

What is good about homeshare?

Both people, their families and communities benefit from the arrangement and the costs are very low.
