Is for patients who do not have a medical need for using hospital ambulances but cannot afford the cost of transport

You may be entitled for HCTC if you are on Income Support.

You can claim for your carer or parent if for medical reasons you need someone to travel with you. Their travel costs are counted as your own.

Some hospitals also have a scheme that helps patients on low incomes and who find it difficult to pay for transport to their hospital appointment or treatment.
