Paying for a holiday

Own Money

Getting some money to pay for a holiday can be difficult

See the section on money and benefits

You might have to work out what money you’ve got before you plan your holiday and then find something to fit the money you can afford (your budget). After all, you want to enjoy yourself and not worry about the cost. Perhaps you can start saving up for a holiday – putting a bit of money aside each week in a bank account or a safe place. People who support you can help with this.

If Social Services think you need a holiday they have to help you (the law here is called “Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act”).
